CEBU PACIFIC: 25th humanitarian flight for the Airbus Corporate Foundation

The Airbus Corporate Foundation and “Aviation sans Frontières” (ASF) have transported almost 1 tonne of medical equipment to Manila aboard the delivery flight of Cebu Pacific Air’s (CEB) latest A320 from Toulouse, France. The aircraft landed in Manila on Friday, March 16.

“Aviation sans Frontières”, has been a regular partner of the Airbus Corporate Foundation for more than two years now. This non-governmental organisation supports Airbus humanitarian ferry flights from France to countries in need or which have been affected by natural disasters.


This is the 1st time CEB brought medical equipment on a delivery flight of its brand-new aircraft. The largest airline in the Philippines, it will take delivery of 22 more Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders between 2012 and 2021.
The Philippines has been struck by massive floods last December, killing 500 people and leaving thousands homeless. The medical equipment and medicine (defibrillator, monitor, surgical clothes, equipment and tools) shipped today are all donations from Toulouse hospitals and associations collected by Aviation sans Frontières and will be delivered to the Philippine Heart Center located in Manila, in constant need for medicine and equipment.

We are also all set to launch our maiden Manila-Hanoi, Manila-Xiamen, Cebu-Kalibo and Kalibo-Hong Kong flights this March and April,” she added.

Passengers can book seats at 90% off to any of CEB’s international destinations, namely: Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon, Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Singapore, Taipei or Xiamen.

The airline’s 33 domestic destinations are also up for grabs at 90% off.

Cebu Pacific holds seat sale to Hong Kong and Macau

Cebu Pacific Fare PromoThe Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) offers discounted fares to 16 international and eight Philippine routes, from March 5, 2012 until seats last. This seat sale is valid for travel from May 1 to July 31, 2012.
Discounted fares to Hong Kong and Macau, from Clark are available for as low as P688.

 “We encourage our guests to take advantage of the lowest fares to some of our most popular shopping and leisure destinations --- Hong Kong, Macau, China and Korea; or to any of the domestic destinations available in this seat sale,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.


“For our guests’ added convenience, CEB’s web check-in service and automatic seat selection can now be used for free while booking online. To avoid the long lines at the airport, we also encourages guests with check-in luggage to avail of prepaid baggage allowance when booking online for travel savings of as much as 63% on domestic and 72% on international flights,” added Iyog.

The airline offers free web check-in service with free seat selection, from 48 hours up to 4 hours before flight departure, for all Airbus flights. Passengers automatically get an assigned seat for free during the web check-in process through the Manage Bookings section in www.cebupacificair.com

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) bested other airlines in the Digital Filipino Web Awards recently, when it was recognized as this year’s winner for the airline category.

The Digital Filipino Web Awards showcases Filipino-owned companies which have the best web presence in terms of their 1) website, 2) e-commerce engine, 3) online marketing and 4) social networking sites (SNS) engagement. The Digital Filipino group tracks and monitors these websites using metrics and measurable output to decide on the winners.


Criteria for this award are: search engine and social media visibility (40%), website traffic and stickiness (40%), and technical performance (20%).
