43rd Aircraft of Cebu Pacific

New aircraft delivery. The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) took delivery of its 43rd aircraft last March 7, 2013, just in time for CEB’s 17th anniversary.


Acquired brand-new from the Airbus facility in Hamburg, Germany, CEB’s 43rd aircraft is the 2nd Airbus A320 aircraft in the Philippines equipped with Sharklets, a new fuel-saving wing tip device. CEB now operates the largest Airbus fleet in the Philippines with 25 Airbus A320 and 10 A319 aircraft. It also operates 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft.

With this fleet, CEB is set to add flights during the Holy Week period to accommodate demand, and provide more opportunities for travel.

It will mount an additional daily flight from Manila to Hong Kong from March 20 to 30, 2013. There will also be an additional flight from Manila to Legazpi on March 27-28, as well as an additional flight from Manila to Naga on March 28 and 30.

Travelers bound for Puerto Princesa from Manila may also book seats on CEB’s additional flight on March 29, 2013. Bookings may be done through www.cebupacificair.com or reservation hotlines (02)7020-888 or (032)230-8888.

CEB operates the most extensive network in the Philippines with 34 domestic destinations and hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Iloilo, Kalibo and Davao. It offers 21 international destinations, namely Bangkok, Bali, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Dubai, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon (Seoul), Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Singapore, Taipei and Xiamen.

Between 2013 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 51 more aircraft: 17 Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo and 4 A330-300 aircraft orders.

CEB presents Cebu e-guidebook for domestic, foreign tourists


The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) rolls out a free electronic guidebook to Cebu, as part of its continued efforts to promote tourism within and to the Philippines.

“A Guide to Cebu 2013” is an electronic guidebook containing the most comprehensive guide to the province of Cebu. It contains a listing of all tourism and heritage sites, useful contacts, and Department of Tourism-accredited establishments, including tour operators, vehicle rental companies and even tour guides.


Initiated by Cebu-based journalism start-up InnoPub Media and Smart Communications, Inc., it comes in two versions: one for the Kindle and another for iPhones, iPads, Android devices and all other smartphone, tablet and e-reader brands.

New Domestic Routes From Western Visayas

CEB launches three more domestic routes from Western Visayas

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) continues its domestic expansion in the 2nd half of 2012, with three new domestic routes launched from Western Visayas.

Last October 25, 2012, CEB launched direct thrice weekly flights from Bacolod to Cagayan de Oro, and direct four times weekly flights from Iloilo to General Santos. On October 26, 2012, the airline will also launch thrice weekly Iloilo to Puerto Princesa flights.

Both services from Iloilo will utilize an A319 aircraft, while the Bacolod-Cagayan de Oro service will utilize an ATR 72-500 aircraft.

“CEB launched a total of 10 domestic routes from August to October, greatly increasing connectivity within the Philippines and enabling even more Filipinos to travel by air. These three routes signify our commitment to increase accessibility to and from the Western Visayas region,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Cebu Pacific formally signs $280M Contract for Rolls-Royce TotalCare®


Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) formally signed a contract with Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, which will provide long-term TotalCare® service support for its Trent 700 engines on up to eight Airbus A330 aircraft. The contract is worth up to $280m.

President of the Philippines, Benigno S. Aquino III, witnessed the contract signing during an official visit to the UK.


At the signing, Lance Y. Gokongwei, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cebu Pacific, said: "We are delighted to sign this contract with TotalCare today for our Airbus A330s. CEB's fleet expansion will enable us to launch long-haul operations and serve markets outside Asia Pacific, including those in Europe, the Middle East, Oceania and the United States. The level of support offered by Rolls-Royce through the TotalCare package will further enhance our operations."

Cebu Pacific Is Named 15th Largest LCC in the World



Only Philippine LCC in Top 75 List

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) ranked 15th in Airline Business Magazine’s list of the world’s top 75 low-cost carriers (LCC) based on 2011 passenger numbers. CEB also ranked 15th in 2010.

According to Airline Business Magazine’s May 2013 issue, CEB flew 11.9 million passengers in 2011, with a 13.6% passenger growth compared to 2010.


CEB bested other LCCs in Asia such as India’s Spicejet (no. 19), China’s Spring Airlines (no. 23), Thai Air Asia (no. 24), Tiger Airways (no. 29) and Indonesia Air Asia (no. 33). The world’s three largest LCCs are USA’s Southwest, Ireland’s RyanAir and UK’s EasyJet.

CEBU PACIFIC: 25th humanitarian flight for the Airbus Corporate Foundation

The Airbus Corporate Foundation and “Aviation sans Frontières” (ASF) have transported almost 1 tonne of medical equipment to Manila aboard the delivery flight of Cebu Pacific Air’s (CEB) latest A320 from Toulouse, France. The aircraft landed in Manila on Friday, March 16.

“Aviation sans Frontières”, has been a regular partner of the Airbus Corporate Foundation for more than two years now. This non-governmental organisation supports Airbus humanitarian ferry flights from France to countries in need or which have been affected by natural disasters.


This is the 1st time CEB brought medical equipment on a delivery flight of its brand-new aircraft. The largest airline in the Philippines, it will take delivery of 22 more Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders between 2012 and 2021.
The Philippines has been struck by massive floods last December, killing 500 people and leaving thousands homeless. The medical equipment and medicine (defibrillator, monitor, surgical clothes, equipment and tools) shipped today are all donations from Toulouse hospitals and associations collected by Aviation sans Frontières and will be delivered to the Philippine Heart Center located in Manila, in constant need for medicine and equipment.
